I have been working at the HZG (Helmholtz-Zentrum Geesthacht) since 1996, where presently I am a senior scientist at its Institute for Coastal Research. My activities are also part of the research cluster CLISAP. Reseach areas include:
Analysis and simulation of the climate of the past millennia;
Climate and Sea-level variations in the Baltic Sea;
Estimation of regional climate change with regional climate models and statistical downscaling methods;
Statistical analysis and interpretation of limnological time-series.
My role in ARAMACC is as supervisor of the WP2 project “The use of proxy data from molluscan sclerochronology for model comparison and decadal prediction” (with ARAMACC researcher Maria Pyrina)
